this is a copy of an old post from my old blog (efx2 which then became efx2blogs). in the end, the final incarnation (efx2blogs) went down one too many times for me, so i switched to blogger. i was able to recover most of my older stuff (efx2) from archive.org. some smilies, graphics, and/or links may be missing, but you get the idea.

well, the biopsy was yesterday and i survived. in all honesty, it hurt like a motherfucker. i swear i wanted to get up and smack the doc doing it but i didn't, obviously. i stayed strong. until she left the room that is. then i burst into tears. but i had wifey by my side the whole time so it made so much more bearable. but seriously, that shit hurt! how do they do that without numbing you? i was in pain the whole day. wifey drove me to work and i ended up leaving early anyway cuz i just needed to rest. i now have to wait two weeks for the results and need to run another test meanwhile.
on another (unrelated) note, why am i always the last one to find cool stuff? i just recently discovered flight simulator cuz a friend of mine at work is doing this around the world thing with it. i'm fascinated!

That chit does hurt don't it? lol I had that done a couple years ago, if I remember right it was when they went in and snippy snip pieces out. Don't worry you will be up and at 'em in no time.

I just can't believe they didn't drug you up...during or after...the best part of any trip to the doc is the drugs...everyone knows that!

I haven't quite figured out what part of you the Doc was abusing, but my condolences. It's a shame you have to wait two weeks for the results. Good luck!

the part of me being abused would be all which can be accessed by a gynecologist. the particular biopsy i had was not the run of the mill snip and go. they had to go further into the "plumbing" as sic called it, which made it MUCH more painful.

that's shitty, Stace. I've had a biopsy before but it didn't hurt.
how long do you have to wait for results? I hope everything is OK.

thanks carm! they said two weeks, but i doubt it takes that long. i'm planning on calling tomorrow. it ticks me off how they can tell me in two days that i have cysts on both ovaries but they make me wait forever to tell me if its freaking cancer or not.
i've had a biopsy before that didn't hurt that much either. but i learned that there is more than one kind and lucky me i get to have the painful one.

oy, my friend has had ovarian cysts. She said it was incredibly painful. She takes a type of birth control now that prevents new ones from forming.
